19/10/20: TClarke announces the success in securing the electrical package for a major upgrade to the Boiler system for Reactors 21 and 22 at Dungeness B Nuclear Power Station. Director, Barrie Nightingale explains.
Our role in this complex series of upgrades at Dungeness B involves the procurement, off-site storage, delivery, assembly, installation, testing and commissioning of the electrical infrastructure.
TClarke’s business relationship with EDF and Dungeness Nuclear Power Station spans more than three decades. Securing this project is another great opportunity for us to retain, and grow the trust that we build on year after year.
TClarke’s world class technical skills base on show
TClarke has the in-house technical expertise to deliver complex and challenging electrical projects across an array of infrastructure sectors. Even more valuable than the contribution to our strong order book is this opportunity to further sharpen and share those skills.
It is important to recognise that within this business our skills base is genuinely world class – whether you are talking about nuclear power, data centres, hospitals, city towers or schools.
Projects like this require our engineers to demonstrate their highest levels of professionalism, not just in the design and concept, but also in high standards of safe installation.
This project emphasises why we take pride in our apprenticeships and professional development programmes. We are preparing our people to work on projects like this – working with world class partners to deliver the best, safest solutions in nuclear power.
