TClarke wins iconic Colston Hall music venue in Bristol.
1/5/19: TClarke has won the M&E package for the transformation of Bristol’s iconic entertainment venue, Colston Hall. Rob Faro, TClarke MD for the South West, sets out the project’s significance.
Colston Hall is a big win for us; significant for its scale, complexity of the engineering and our opportunity for early engagement. This is one of the region’s major M&E contracts where once again we are working in partnership with Willmott Dixon.
This is a full MEP installation, including specialist stage lighting and AV containment, life safety systems and data. As a world class music and performance venue the ventilation, heating and cooling require particularly fine control to deliver the perfect user experience, this is where our expertise in technology sets us apart from our competition.
Colston Hall was opened just a few years before TClarke’s ground-breaking first electrical installation in the Savoy Theatre, we are still breaking new ground with technology and innovation in entertainment venues just like this.
Every time we win a landmark project, we get another chance to highlight the TClarke brand name in the region. This is when our people get the opportunity to show the practical advantages that our engineering skills offer. We have great people – they’re our permanent advantage – I’m very proud of our teams and we relish the opportunity to show what we can do.
We are helping to create an exceptional music venue for Bristol, with new world class spaces for education, artists, audiences and events. This will involve us in breathing new life into several layers of historic architecture. Overall, this is just the kind of project where the scale, quality and expertise of TClarke is a stand-out advantage.
From every point of view, Colston Hall is great news for our South West team.
