TClarke takes on 50 apprentices nationwide

8/8/19 : Every year the highly sought after TClarke apprenticeship scheme takes on another group of apprentices across the UK. This year 50 new apprentices are joining the company. Mark Lawrence, who personally welcomes them into the business, explains why TClarke takes so much care over this annual process.

It is a well-known fact that TClarke provides one of the best apprenticeship schemes in British construction and engineering. We are one of the companies which has an unbroken tradition of investing in apprentices and working to give them the best training possible. 

As well as giving our apprentices the soundest possible professional and technical skillsets, we also aim to introduce them to our culture and the TClarke Way of doing things.

We have maintained this approach consistently and this year, our intake of 50 apprentices is another very strong signal of our confidence in our business and marketplaces. High quality, motivated people are key to any successful business and it all starts on day one of our apprenticeship scheme. I’ve been delighted to spend some time with our apprentices, setting out our expectations clearly – and also explaining how well we aim to support them.

We don’t just aim to offer the best apprenticeships – we also aim to offer the best career paths too, working on the best and most challenging projects around. The annual apprenticeship round is a key moment in the TClarke calendar up and down the country, I’m delighted this year that we have again been able to attract such a high calibre of apprentices – it bodes well for the future.
