TClarke South West : Unique healthcare expertise supports sustainable growth
25/2/19 : TClarke South West is currently working on projects in eight of the major hospitals in the region.
Recently, their team of specialist Healthcare Engineers has completed the complex refurbishment of the mortuary at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, in Truro. This project involved TClarke as the Principal Contractor, delivering a Design and Build service, to provide a mortuary that is fully compliant with the HTA standards, including new power, lighting, CCTV & access control, ventilation, controls, water services, drainage, flooring, ceilings and wall coverings.
Garth Weaver, Director of Estates and Facilities at the Royal Cornwall Hospital praised the team for their work:
“Thank you very much indeed for your determination and immense efforts in getting the project completed within an incredibly challenging timeframe. Not an easy task at all but everyone worked together collaboratively, proactively looking for solutions to problems, and put in some very long hours to meet the deadline.”
The South West Healthcare Team’s current projects include several under the NHS England Procure 22 and NHS Wales Designed For Life Frameworks.
The Team have recently secured a project to upgrade the ventilation to 4 Theatres, X-Ray Suite, Recovery Suite and ENT department at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. This project runs for the next 15 months and our specialist engineers are working in a live hospital environment, where their unique expertise and experience is used to its full extent.
On the back of numerous recent commercial and public sector wins, these wins have helped build a very strong order book for sustainable growth in the South West looking ahead to the end of 2019 and beyond. But these wins should not be surprising as South West MD, Rob Faro explains:
“This is the result of a steady and focused business strategy, set in place 3 years ago and followed up consistently. TClarke Group sees Healthcare as a major Infrastructure opportunity across the UK and has invested time and energy to build a compelling offer.
“Today, the Healthcare market can see that we have the engineering expertise, high quality people and, critically, we have our unique in-house healthcare controls operation, involving partnership relationships with world class medical equipment manufacturers.
“This wealth of deep expertise means we can work very closely with clinical teams to understand what they need each space to achieve and provide valuable advice in realising those objectives.
“We are targeting the right projects for sustainable growth in the South West region.”
