TClarke Scotland powers ahead on largest regeneration of its kind outside London
8/7/20: The £250m NorthBridge new homes development in Glasgow is the largest urban redevelopment of its kind outside London and TClarke Scotland is now onsite and working as Managing Director for Scotland, Gary Jackson explains.
Here in Scotland, our TClarke people have been working continuously with our clients throughout the pandemic crisis. In some cases we’ve been serving vital infrastructure sectors and crucial projects, in others we’ve been planning ahead.
We’ve completed a thorough review of our sites and our regional office procedures to protect our people and our partners with deep cleansing, new routes, sanitising and thermal imaging cameras – and we’ve welcomed our staff and operatives back to work.
Announcing our role in a massive redevelopment for Glasgow
So I am delighted to be able to announce that we are onsite at NorthBridge, working for our partners Keepmoat on a programme where the overall scale and ambition for redevelopment within Glasgow is both very exciting and great for this changing and developing city.
NorthBridge connects a major new residential homes area directly into the heart of the town via a new landmark footbridge that spans the main trunk road through the heart of Glasgow. NorthBridge is very much a project for today – designed from the ground up, considering the community and environment , while working to promote a healthy, family-friendly lifestyle with a cycle master plan at its heart.
Fast moving multi-workface development suits our capabilities
We are delighted to have been selected for this fast moving, multi-workface development and the scale of the project certainly helps secure our forward order book in a very significant way. The project underlines our market leadership and confidence in the provision of M&E services for the Scottish housing sector and shows how the work of our people continues to be valued and trusted.
Amid the many and ongoing challenges which the virus pandemic had brought, it is good to be able to report on our continued confidence and strength as a business – and our ability to go forward, while delivering against our strategic plans for the future.
