TClarke redesigns HQ in readiness for phased return to work
1/5/20: In two weeks of careful planning and implementation, TClarke’s Head Office Health and Safety team, supported by TClarke’s board-level COVID-19 Committee, has achieved a complete overhaul of our headquarters site to allow a safe, phased return to work, in line with Government requirements. TClarke’s Group Managing Director, Mike Crowder explains:
We’re delighted that some TClarke teams round the country have been working hard to directly support the NHS during the pandemic. It is also important to recognise the great commitment and hard work of people across our UK business to support our site and office teams in going back to work safely.
Our Health and Safety team in London, led by Josh Bourne, has done an excellent job in completely overhauling our Head Office operation – detail by detail. We have made single direction routes throughout the building, we have removed desks to achieve spacing, turned meeting rooms into hot desk areas, set up new safe security entry systems, arranged for safe traffic and usage of facilities and, in short, we’ve looked at every detail with the aim of being fully compliant with the Government’s guidelines so people can feel comfortable in getting back to work.
In a situation that is changing rapidly, we’ve kept our focus on the wellbeing of our people and their families. Getting our Head Office operations ready for a phased return to work has been a significant task and I’m glad to say it has been done the TClarke way – professionally, carefully and effectively.
The efforts in London are being replicated nationwide. Now is a good time to commend everyone who is taking part in this work. We have a way to go – but we are on the right track and looking forward.
