TClarke delivers FM programme for Birmingham City FC

TClarke’s enhanced nationwide Facilities Maintenance offer is well demonstrated by the project delivered for Birmingham FC as Technical Director, Lee Morgan explains :

“We’ve had world class FM around the country for years. Now we’ve invested to bring it together in a single nationwide service capable of winning major projects in the open market and also of serving our building services clients with ongoing maintenance services to support our installations.

“The Birmingham City FC programme came in from a sales inquiry. Our Derby FM team turned that into a major project in support of the digital transformation of St Andrews Stadium. Works included :

  • A fully designed containment system throughout the back of house areas, corporate lounges, concourse, club shop, offices and above/below stadia canopy’s.
  • A full Microduct installation throughout all areas (Circa 18km),, enabling the blowing of the core power cabling and fibre infrastructure.
  • LV power infrastructure.
  • Full PA/Entertainment speaker system for all areas.
  • Full Wifi antenna installation to all areas.
  • Installation of digital ‘distribution points’ for all areas.
  • Fire/security/AC & Multi System monitoring to all CDPU’s (On-site CENTRAL DATA & POWER UNIT).

“All Club supporters and visitors will now enjoy a new, concert-quality digital audio system throughout the stadium, high-performance Wi-Fi and a number of new systems to improve ground experience, safety and security – all supported by a long-life digital and power infrastructure delivering guaranteed levels of performance.

“The project involved a lot of diverse thinking and new installation methodologies for the Derby FM team and I’m proud that we’ve delivered everything to the highest standards – as with every other TClarke Project.”

Group Chief Executive Mark Lawrence added :

“We now have a unified world class Facilities Maintenance operation to match our building services operation. That resource is available nationwide and enjoys the classic TClarke advantage of being self-delivered by our own engineering resource. As ever, the quality and long-term reliability of our in-house teams presents a major advantage for clients. Congratulations go to the whole Derby FM team for this excellent work and for the ongoing business opportunities it has opened up.”
