TClarke is one of the lead partners for the new Stanhope Foundation to help London’s most vulnerable people

24/6/21 : The Stanhope Foundation is focused on increasing employability among vulnerable and young people in London, so they can find hope and pride through meaningful employment. We are pleased to commit as one of the lead partners of this substantive venture as Group MD Mike Crowder comments.

TClarke has always made significant efforts to offer the best pathways into meaningful and high-quality employment within the construction and engineering sectors. Whenever we look to extend the opportunities we offer, we aim to ensure that they are meaningful and well supported. 

The Stanhope Foundation is a direct response to the severe impact the pandemic has had on vulnerable members of our community, such as young people, those fighting life-limiting illnesses like cancer and those experiencing homelessness. Partnering with three charities – Maggie’s, St Mungo’s and The Prince’s Trust, the Foundation will raise money for gainful employment initiatives, whilst also offering pro bono advisory work, and volunteering opportunities. 

The funds raised by The Stanhope Foundation will go directly towards the employment-focused areas of the chosen charities, working with Maggie’s on their Back to Work programme for cancer patients; with The Prince’s Trust on skills development and employability programmes; and with St Mungo’s on the charity’s Recovery College initiative.

We are one of the leading engineering services companies in the UK, with over 130 years history in communities across Britain – so we do not take this commitment lightly. We applaud the organisation and dedication of the people involved in getting the Foundation started on such a solid footing and we will play our part in making it a sustained success.
