Polly Every starts apprenticeship at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro

5/10/20: TClarke is currently training 180 apprentices in four yearly cohorts and Polly Every is one of the class of 2020. Director of TClarke UK South Rob Faro welcomes her as she starts her four-year journey to qualification as a professional electrician.

On 16 September Polly started work at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on the CSDP2 project, working with Site Manager, Steve Belfield.

The UK Government’s recently published 2020 Skills Shortage List for immigration rules identifies electrical and mechanical engineers as Shortage Occupations. 

Furthermore, Polly will begin her career working alongside some of our specialist healthcare teams where she will not only gain her electrical qualifications and experience but her training will be extended to include the additional complexities of working in a healthcare environment.

Steve has helped develop many people’s careers in the industry including acting as my mentor as a young Project Engineer.

Polly commented ‘I spent several months searching for the right opportunity to begin my electrical career, after completing some work experience with TClarke over the summer I knew that it was a company that would help me achieve my goals so I was delighted to get the job and especially to work with Steve and the Bam team on CSDP2 where I completed my work experience’.
