Oxford Saïd Business School Global Leadership Centre showcases capabilities

TClarke is delivering one of Oxford University’s major new facilities —the Oxford Saïd Business School Global Leadership Centre, at the redeveloped Osney Power Station. This project highlights our leadership in the region, as explained by Oxford Managing Director Carl Murray.

Osney Power Station is a much-loved site and a vital part of Oxford’s industrial heritage. It opened on June 18, 1892, on an island site within the River Thames and was responsible for powering the first electric lightbulb in Oxford. The power station was closed in 1968 and was used by Oxford University’s Engineering Department, and most recently for museum storage.

This project revitalises the site and places sustainability at its core. We are currently in the process of installing building services, aiming to begin the commissioning process in early summer, with handover planned for early September.

The substantial growth in infrastructure across Oxford and Cambridge is crucial for Britain’s economic future. The Oxford Saïd Business School Global Leadership Centre is similar to other science, laboratory, educational, and digital infrastructure projects we are undertaking in this region. It requires the highest execution standards and will serve as a showcase for Britain. We are extremely proud to contribute to this project and to collaborate once again with one of Britain’s esteemed institutions.
