‘Outstanding achievement’ makes Dammy Ajibade a winner at JTL Regional Apprenticeship Awards
Completing his TClarke apprenticeship, Dammy Ajibade, has also been named as a winner in the JTL Regional ApprenticeAwards.
JTL, a leading apprenticeship provider across England and Wales, runs the annual JTL Regional and National Awards to recognise apprentices who have demonstrated outstanding levels of achievement and determination to learning throughout their qualification.
Dammy completed his Electrical Installation Level 3 apprenticeship while employed by TClarke and was nominated for the award by his Training Officer, Kevin Cleverley.
Earlier this month, Chris Claydon, Chief Executive at JTL, presented Kenneth with an engraved trophy and £100 prize money at JTL’s training centre in Birmingham, alongside ten other regional winners.
Dammy now goes ‘head-to-head’ with the other winners in the hope of being named JTL National Apprentice of the Year at the National Awards taking place at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire on 13th June.
Kevin Cleverley, JTL Training Officer, commented: “Dammy was a very high-achieving apprentice, meeting every target he was set and received praise on all of the projects he worked on.
“Dammy was an exceptional college student and site operative, and anyone with his level of commitment deserves to be rewarded for their achievements.”
Dammy Ajibade, added: “I was delighted to hear that I had been chosen as one of JTL’s regional winners. This award reflects my hard work and commitment to my apprenticeship, and I would like to thank Kevin for nominating me.
“I’m very excited to move forwards as a finalist in the JTL National Awards this June, along with the other JTL Regional Award winners.”
JTL’s awards scheme assesses each nominee against four key elements which make up the apprenticeship framework – their practical work onsite, theoretical knowledge, key skills and industrial test scores.
Group Chief Execuitve Mark Lawrence commended Dammy’s success : “We are very proud that Dammy’s qualities have been recognised by JTL. He joins a long list of TClarke apprentices who have won regional and national awards and I would like to also commend Dean Edwards and all of our training teams and colleagues across the country who take time to help our apprentices and give them the best professional start possible. Dammy’s success shows once again who we are and the values we hold as a company.”
