New MD, new base : TClarke Scotland makes statements of market strength, leadership and ambition
9/2/22: TClarke reveals a move to Maxim Park, Eurocentral and the appointment of Chris Harris among strategic investments that demonstrate long term ambition and power to support client base
Chris Harris leads TClarke Scotland
Group Chief Executive Mark Lawrence commended the selection of Chris Harris as MD Scotland.
“Chris Harris has an exceptional eighteen year track record with our company. His original background in the technology side of residential engineering services has been key in helping develop TClarke as the leading partner for the Scottish housebuilding industry.
“Add to this, Chris was there at the very start of our technology journey, bidding, winning and successfully delivering the critical IT infrastructure cabling job for the London Olympic stadium back in 2011. Chris is a modern engineering services leader with a long track record of designing and delivering technology systems and engineering solutions that deliver business results. These have included many of the Group-wide data systems we have implemented in recent years to drive our own management apps and dashboards.
Maxim Park, Eurocentral move underlines commitment to core housing market and ambitions for growth
“TClarke Scotland is looking forward, to continued leadership in our traditional core housing market and to growth in engineering services. I’m delighted to be able to announce our move to Maxim Park, Eurocentral. This is an outstanding development with an exceptional level of facilities for our people and an unrivalled location, 20 minutes from Glasgow, 40 minutes from Edinburgh and easily accessible by the M8, M73 and M74 motorways.”
New MD Chris Harris explained the strategic reasons for the move to Eurocentral:
Supporting Housebuilders as the Housing Ombudsman shines light on customer service
“This is a strategic move that we’ve made for two reasons. On the one hand, this is all about our client base. Our Homebuilder clients’ work is largely focused across the central belt of Scotland. With the advent of the new Housing Ombudsman, supply chain partners such as TClarke must show even highest standards of customer service and integration with our clients operations. That won’t happen automatically. Maxim Park, Eurocentral is a strategic move looking at enhancing the long term success of these operations. We place enormous value on our market leadership in the Scottish residential market – this move shows that.
A commitment to our people
“But as well as being a client-focused move, this is equally about giving our people a real upgrade in their work environment. Maxim Park, Eurocentral provides the work facilities you get from a modern, financially secure and powerful, market leading engineering services business like TClarke. We have always taken pride in the absolute quality of our people and in the strong team culture we have here. I’m delighted to be able to give our people a working environment which really will be second to none in our industry.
TClarke Scotland delivers long term careers and apprenticeships
“When I look ahead, I know that this company delivers some of the very best career prospects and apprenticeships in engineering services in Scotland. We have the scale, we have the systems and the long history of investment and our success as a business means we can do even more. This year we have 55 people in professional training and apprenticeships in Scotland. It’s a fact of which I’m incredibly proud. TClarke in Scotland goes from strength to strength; this is an exciting time for our business.”
