New Homes Quality Code drives new clients to TClarke
Already the leading supplier of Engineering Services to the Scottish Residential Construction Market, TClarke Scotland has significantly expanded its residential client base as a direct result of the New Homes Ombudsman’s drive for quality.
In the middle of 2022, new home buyers all over the UK received stronger customer protections at every stage of the purchase process, along with the introduction of a New Homes Ombudsman Service. As a result, new home builders are now seeking to provide their buyers with high-quality, defect-free installations from the very beginning, leading to an immediate and lasting increase in clients for TClarke.
TClarke Scotland Managing Director Chris Harris explains.
“The media often reports on “new build nightmare” stories, and over the past 15 years, complaints across the industry have almost doubled. However, the implementation of the New Homes Quality Code of Practice and Ombudsman Service has encouraged housebuilders to adopt best practices, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce risks associated with new standards.
This has had a direct impact on our business, which has the necessary people, systems, and skills to deliver quality Engineering Services for new homes. The industry recognises the company’s expertise, and we have welcomed some excellent new clients. The TClarke Way of doing things not only benefits home buyers and builders but also proves to be a valuable commercial asset for the business.
