New AM2 Test Rig helps set our high standards
13/6/22: Our Engineering Apprenticeships are well known for being amongst the best across all UK industry sectors. The new purpose-built AM2 Test Rig located in our London Head Office shows that retaining engineering excellence is at the very heart of our mission.
All electrical apprentices must pass their AM2 assessment in their final year. This is a practical exercise with a short online element, taken over 16.5 hours at dedicated facilities across the UK.
Apprentices undertake a series of timed tasks in specially equipped booths containing typical electrical installation wiring systems. The exercises include installation, inspection and testing and fault-finding. The work must comply with the current IEE Wiring Regulations and be carried out in line with Health & Safety best practice.
As Group MD Mike Crowder says, TClarke looks to do everything it can to ensure that its apprentices have the best opportunity to achieve the highest standards:
“We arm our apprentices to succeed. This new Test Rig helps us to train for success in the best conditions. We want them to feel confident that they are achieving the highest possible professional standards.
