Journey to £500m : North secures key new leaders for Newcastle expansion
31/3/21: In the first of a series of news releases on TClarke’s journey to £500m turnover, Kevin Mullen, Director – TClarke UK North, talks about three key new leaders for our Newcastle office which serves the North East, with further expansion on the horizon.
“This is a unique time at TClarke; so many big things are happening and this is certainly one of them. These three new leaders for Newcastle, with Paul Hoy heading the team, are central to our strategic work in the north to help the business get to £500m and beyond. I have a strong sense that we are going to get there with more pace and power than people may expect.
The strategic challenge is exciting – to build additional high quality resource in our business so that we have all the capacity and capability we need and more, to make this growth journey in the right way, with comfort and confidence. That means delivering the quality and in-house expertise for which we are known, consistently as a larger organisation.
This is a clear signal to the North East of our intentions. I am glad to be able to announce these three appointments today and I look forward to making further announcements regarding team and business expansion in the North East.
This is a significant strategic move for our business in the North and nationwide – not just some new faces in the team. We are excited about a range of opportunities in the pipeline and these guys are instrumental in gearing up our business to achieving this growth target, we are going to build the strength of our business, establish ourselves in new markets, increase our presence in existing ones and build our client relationships. Growth means increased and accelerated career opportunities for our local employees and the long term health of our business.”

Paul joined us in the summer of 2020 and it was evident that his experience and desire is an asset to TClarke. It is good to see his determination to further reinforce the existing strong values of the business and demonstrate his leadership skill. Paul’s leadership will guide the Newcastle team to grow in a managed and structured way and I am confident that he will maximise the depth of expertise we have there. Paul commented : “TClarke is a leading technical business which I am delighted to be a part of. We have an experienced, talented team and I am confident we will go from strength to strength, in line with the Group vision of £500million and beyond”
