High quality fast turnaround from TClarke Healthcare
21/1/22: In just 5 months – half the normally expected time, a TClarke Healthcare team has delivered complex MEP systems for a major new urgent ward space for the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust. Rob Faro, Director, UK South explains.
We are a strategic partner to this Trust and here we are delivering again with Kier as Principal Supply Chain Partner under the P22 Framework. We are building a considerable track record of capability to serve the NHS effectively and bring high quality new hospital services to local communities.
These are complex engineering projects. Our package involves the design and build of thecomplete range of MEP systems, including specialist services such as medical gasses, intelligent buildings, fire alarms, access control and fire suppression.
Our solution has featured modern methods of construction with offsite manufacturing for plant rooms and switch rooms.
This is the first phase of a programme of works that we are engaged in, and I am delighted to say that we have now successfully commissioned and delivered 28 beds of new urgent ward space to help ease winter pressures and provide a Training Facility for Healthcare Support Workers. We have delivered our work sensitively, in the centre of a working hospital, right next to the ambulance route, Emergency Department and helipad. In fact, patients were using the facility on Friday. We take great pride in this work and our partnerships.
Karl Simkins, Director of Finance for RCHT and the project SRO said “As always, TClarke have worked collaboratively to help us deliver this outstanding new facility in record time. Their technical expertise and ability to deliver has proven instrumental in the success of this project”.
