Future Leaders : Our nationwide pipeline of management talent
16/8/19 : TClarke plans ahead and then delivers according to plan. In 2017, TClarke set up a nationwide Future Leaders programme to bring capable young leaders together from across our business in a programme of education, training and professional development. Group MD Mike Crowder has led the programme and now, as the second cohort begins and the first cohort has ended, he reflects on progress so far.
Future Leaders has delivered in a number of ways which matter to our business.
Firstly, from our own resources, we have created an efficient and productive talent development programme that creates opportunity for our people and the pipeline of excellence we need in TClarke.
Secondly, we have linked people on Future Leaders across the TClarke Group into an ongoing network of connections and expertise – so that they can reach out across the group to find solutions and share thinking. This gives Future Leaders working onsite, anywhere in the UK, a powerful and permanent resource to help them whenever they need it.
Thirdly, we have achieved these two business critical objectives rapidly, efficiently and in the TClarke Way. Everyone who has been part of Future Leaders has emerged with a stronger and clearer sense of what this business represents, our values and our ways of working.
Everyone on Future Leaders is driving their career forward – and if you take a look at where they are working right now, you can also get a good sense of the reach and scope of our work across every area of the UK.
As we begin work with the next 2 year cohort of Future Leaders, this is a great signal of the ongoing strength of our business, our commitment to high quality engineering jobs in Britain and this company’s confidence in our next generation.
Where are our Future Leaders working now?
We asked our first cohort of Future leaders a simple question: “where are you working now?”
