Factory Acceptance Testing goes ahead via video link
31/3/20: TClarke has worked with AHU and Chiller manufacturer Aermec to provide witness testing by video link for chillers at one of our major London projects – one of five projects across Europe that Aermec have received approval from the Italian Government to test, whilst under strict controls. TClarke Director, Clive Carr explains :
Working with our manufacturer partners Aermec, the video testing approach produces tangible savings for customers by minimising travel and also reduces carbon impacts for the project. Testing via a video link is a good option in every way. Testing of the equipment is still observed and discussed real time, with test screens monitored and a live link into the test cell so everyone can view data and participate openly, answering questions as they arise.
In fact, it means that more people within the project team can engage in the tests, without all the environmental and financial impacts involved.
An effective way to deliver what we need, while practicing social distancing
Right now, during the period of Coronavirus, this is also an effective way to deliver the strict testing we need, while practicing social distancing. Following our initial work to set this up three weeks ago, we are now planning to get the main Chillers tested in a similar way.
