Can you find the most capable fire alarm team in London?
1. Directly employed in-house people with a deep understanding of our values.
Our team has doubled in the last six month, coming off the back of our success in delivering and winning projects. But it is really important to know that only one of the new members has come from outside TClarke. All the rest are internal appointments so the ‘TClarke Way’ of doing things is a real feature of our work. Moreover this team is all directly-employed. We are TClarke through and through, here for the long-term and we stand by our work quality. We’ve also got a very good team spirit and everyone gets on well and feeds off each other’s skills and experience – which brings me to my next point.
2. Complimentary skillset above and beyond the norm.
Everyone is of course fully-qualified with all the training on the relevant standards and regulations. Within our team we have decades of experience on fire alarm systems of all kinds. But we have more; many of our team members have come from an electrical background so they bring that expertise in the integration with elements of the electrical package, power supplies and control equipment – that’s a big advantage over typical fire alarm companies.
Beyond this we’ve got a lot of deeper speclailst knowledge – such as James Broadest’s in-depth knowledge of gas suppression, Junior Haynes’ practical methodology as commissioning manager and Duncan Silcock’s expertise on the integration of fire alarm systems with smoke dampers.
3. Current experience of successfully delivering major projects
Our team has been fortunate in the recent period to have built our experience on a series of jobs which are high profile, challenging and successful. 60 Victoria Embankment is JP Morgan’s HQ and we successfully installed and commissioned our systems there while the business was still operating on site. Rathbone Square (now HQ of Facebook) involved us in heavily integrating the fire alarm and smoke damper system and going so far as to develop bespoke equipment to meet our client’s requirements for ease of commissioning. London Wall Place which houses HQs of Schroders and Cleary Gottlieb has been another current project on a massive scale.
4. Consistent good feedback from our clients
Even though we haven’t ever gone out systematically to collect client comments on our work, you can look on the phones of our team members and you will find short text messages thanking us for our work or asking someone to pass on their thanks to the team. I think these simple texts are a great testament to the skills and equally the attitude of our guys. If I was to single out one thing above all then, beyond the expertise, skills and experience I would probably say it is the attitude that makes this team what it is.
